About the Exhibit

Cheung Chung-chu places a dead cicada on his painting. Upon closer look, tiny dots appear amidst darkness. Silently, every stroke mourns for the past during turbulent times. In another set of work, Cheung highlights repetition in his screenprint; each tear-off constitutes the trajectory of the next, as if there is a conversation between the artist and the print.
